We’re very excited to make the new Marching Towards Justice Study Guide available for download here!
This study guide is aimed at those attending or working at Salvation Army Corps or Centres who are interested in social justice, although it will be useful for many other settings. The four sessions cover history, method (x2 sessions) and next steps. They are intended for a small group setting (e.g. a home group or staff team meeting) and should be done alongside the reading of the Marching Towards Justice, which can be downloaded here.
The resource has been prepared by Lieutenant Sam Tomlin and Lieutenant Paul Williams, who were both commissioned as Salvation Army Officers yesterday. Over the last two years at William Booth College, they have been taking the opportunity to develop their understanding and experience of community organising with South London Citizens. They have been involved in a number of campaigns, including the Community Land Trust, #RefugeeWelcome, and Just Money campaigns. Sam and Paul were both also involved with the London Citizens Mayoral Assembly at the Copperbox in Stratford.
Sam will soon take up an appointment, with his wife Jenni, at Liverpool Stoneycroft Corps.
Great day seeing @samjtomlin and Jenni becoming @salvationarmyuk officers. Loved it. pic.twitter.com/xAzgEI5AEZ

Paul has been appointed to St Albans Corps. His wife Lizette will soon begin her second year of training at William Booth College.
We would like to thank the Centre for Theology and Community for their support with making this resource possible, with particular thanks to Andy Walton (editing) and Max Randall (design).
